Being Inspired By A Little Tradition

Every year I take a photo of this board, full of lovely cards with lovely notes. They inspire me.  I love what I do, my friends are fantastic, my clients are inspiring to me. I enjoy my work and the people I have the opportunity to work for. I take a photo of all my thank you cards every single year at approximately this time. They are the hand written cards that people send to me throughout the year. Each with a little note of endearment, gratitude and friendship. Each of them inspires me and motivates me to do more, help more, give more.

 We go day in and day out doing what we do, and many of us never get any feedback from anyone. We hope we are having an impact, making a difference, but we may never know for sure. Every time one of these little envelopes show up in my mail, my heart leaps, I smile and can barely wait to get it open and read it. Each with their little note of cheer, make me smile, make me want to dance. I can not be thankful enough for each of these little cards, for the people who send them.

 Sometimes it is the little things that strengthen the relationships of the people in your life, your network, your world. Something as simple as a little handwritten note can make such a difference in the lives of the people who help and serve you.

 To each of you who have ever sent me one of these little treasures, thank you, they mean more to me than I can say. For the rest of us, lets make it a habit to start doing something so simple and so kind.
